THREE-QUARTER LIGHTING
Three-Quarter lighting is captured when the main source of light in the image is only cast over 3/4 of the subject.
These images were all shot during class time with a hard light source and props found within class.
My favourite of the five is the bottom centre skull. I love the contrast in the background and the colouring of the lighting as it is not yellow like it is in the first skull photograph. This photo had no post production done to it on Photoshop because I was really happy with how the contrasting worked out by itself due to the angling of the light source.
I'm not really happy with the bottom left image and the man on the far right because the lighting is just all wrong. The alien type statue didn't really work out at all due to how the lighting isn't really cast over three quarters of its face which was the aim. This would be because maybe it was taken with the room still naturally lit and with the classroom lights on rather than just the hard light source shining on it. This is sort of the opposite with the image of the doll though as the main hard light source is just too overwhelming. The features of it's face are barely visible with the light being so bright so if I were to retake this image, I would probably move the light back a little and just angle it a bit more so that it is not all over the face.
