DOUBLE EXPOSURE
Each of these double exposure images were created with a specific tool in Photoshop. The tool works by overlaying two individual photos on top of each other and simply clicking the 'play' button and waiting for the effect to take place. However, as this is done automatically and there isn't really much of an option as to how it ends out, some images had to be recreated several times to get the satisfying layout.
Some of the following images below had been downloaded from the internet prior to the combining of the two such as the black & white leopard and the cheetah in the waterfall. The chimpanzee and lion portraits were downloaded but the bamboo, the giraffe, the hotel and the underside of the bridge were all originals taken on a school excursion to the zoo.
My favourite image of the following gallery would be the giraffe combined with the Hilton hotel. This is because the size and the colouring of each of the images suited each other perfectly. However, if I were to do post production to it, I would probably lean it up straight rather than have it on the angle due to how it just makes the image look a little awkward.
My least favourite would probably be the lion due to how it just looks out of place with the bridge as nothing is the same colour or layout. I do like how it is positioned because the focal point of the eye sort of leads onto the curves of the bridge, allowing the viewer to look all across the image but it is just lacking something special. Also, the person in the bottom left of the image is a bit of a distraction and the overall composition and lighting isn't all that great.
