MACRO
Macro photography is essentially just a close up where to main object of the image is in extreme focus.
The following macro images were taken either at school using a camera provided or at home using a phone camera. Post-production on Photoshop was added to some of these images to crop out unwanted parts, align the focus off-centre or to enhance the overall colour.
The first image of the leaf and broken piece of wood is my favourite of the five. Although the colour is quite dull and there is very little contrast I love the texture that each aspect provides. It would have been a better photograph if the wood was more focused on rather than just the leaf so that the detail could be seen a lot clearer but I think it is still the best of the following.
My least favourite is the one of the snail shell on the pavers. Although the colour is a lot better than the one previously mentioned, I felt like it didn't really fit the criteria of Macro photography but more Rule Of Thirds due to how the detail is not as enhanced. It would have been a lot better had I used a better camera than the one on my phone because I would have been able to focus on the pattern on the shell more after zooming in further without pixilation.
